Early Thoughts
Before registering for the Vipassana, I was going through many ups and downs in my life. I wanted a break. I wanted a time where I could live a different life. A life that is different from the so-called normal life.
Heard about Vipassana many years ago but that didn't catch my attention. But I was planning to go there. I think everything has its time and for me, when my time came, I was there doing Sadhana (Meditation).
My parents got no clue where I was planning to go but when the time came, I told them that I’m going to Lucknow for meditation for ten days and I can’t talk to you on phone. They didn’t understand what I was doing with my life. And I told these things when the time was very near. It’s like if I am going after two or three days then I am telling all this to them.
I told them that it’s important for me and they understood that.
They trust me!!! That’s awesome.
Reaching There
When I reached there, they allotted me a room. I met two friends, at that time we could talk. Vipassana was not yet started. There, I felt a very different vibe around that area, that was very positive. Even I felt a different vibe with people I met, I saw. I consider myself a weird person and there I was seeing mostly weird people. I don’t know why I felt that but that’s true.

What It is, the Meaning of It
Vipassana means to see things as they really are. It is one of India’s most ancient meditation techniques. It was rediscovered by Gotama the Buddha more than 2600 years ago. It is the process of self-purification by self-observation. Listen full Podcast to know more!
My 10 Days Experience
My experience was very fantastic. The food was very tasty. I’ve experienced various kinds of pain in my body and that was because of the meditation. Each day, everything was becoming tougher and tougher. But that was worth it.
Last 2 days
On the 9th and 10th day, we were allowed to speak. This time, we broke the silence in a very bizarre way. Everyone was speaking, everyone has their things to say, everyone wanted to talk to everybody, and everyone wanted to know each other and that’s why these two days were awesome.
My Suggestions to Others
I would say that you must do vipassana to know yourself better, for the peace of your mind, and for a life that is unexpected for various reasons. Click Here to visit the site of Vipassana Centre.
