Mindset You Need to Start Something

According to my understanding, There are two aspects of it-

1- Why are you starting that thing?

2- What’s stopping you to start that thing?

The “Why” is a cause from which you get the inspiration to start.

To find out your “Why” is a different topic altogether.

Today, I’ll primarily focus on the second part of it that is, What’s stopping you to start that thing. You can also listen my podcast for this topic- Mindset of Starting Something | How to Start from Scratch.

Here are some common points that have the potential to stop you, but you've more potential from all the below points. You got to believe in me.

1- Self Awareness-

I think first and foremost is the Self-Awareness part of the human being. If you are not self-aware of yourself, if you don’t know what’s your goal, if you don’t know what’s your vision, if you don’t know your plans, then It may give you problems in long term.

You could be a guy with no plans, no visions, no heavy goals and it’s just fine. But you need to be self-aware in this scenario too. Otherwise bad things will happen to you. It’s the way of nature. It’s the way of the universe.

The very famous psychiatrist Carl Jung says that “The world will ask you who you are, and if you don’t know, the world will tell you".

I think it is way better that we know ourselves first than listening to somebody that doesn’t know what’s your nature or who you are.

When you start something, you can think of many reasons not to believe in yourself. You can think that your idea is bad, You can think you don’t have enough resources, You can think that your timing is too late, everybody is ahead of you. There could be many reasons not to start that thing. But when you know yourself, those things could help you to find some creative ideas out of that. Your problems could be your potential power. You just need perspective.

(i) What to Start-

Many of us don’t know what to start. The very simple thing you can do is try lots of things and from which you get a sense of where you are good at or what works for you or what you are more passionate about.

The key is to try a lot of things and then choose what suits you according to your understanding.

You need to focus on where you are good at. Understand that you are good enough and Just Start.

2- Lack of Passion/Inspiration-

If you are not passionate enough about doing something then you are not going to love it. And if you are not loving it then it could be a problem. Maybe you need to balance it.

To know your passion is to unlock the self-awareness part. Try things, choose some, and work on that.

You could do many things, it’s just self-awareness. If you are happy, if you are good then keep going.

3- Negative Mindset-

When you start something, you need a different mindset. If you’ve defaulted in thinking in negative terms or your beliefs are negative about that thing then It’ll be hard for you to start something around that area.

Your beliefs, information, knowledge, and experiences give you some perspective in life though it’s not the full story of it because some other things are happening inside and outside our body that does have control in our decisions.

But Yes, what you think matters.

If you are this guy, that has this mindset then you need to change it if you wanna have something different from what you’ve got.

Your over-judgment about yourself is not going to help you to start something. That’s the obstacle, not your solution. You can listen to my podcast on Judgement that could be helpful for you.

You need to change your belief by listening or reading to positive belief. Listen to podcasts, listen to motivational speakers, read biographies, read books. There are many ways of doing it. It is just that you wanna do it or not.

You will find some excuses it’s simple. You will find some reasons It’s simple. But you’ve to change your mindset. Do take your support from your friends or family. Call somebody if you think he/she can help you. Message somebody. There are ways to do it. And most important – Share Love.

4- Lack of Knowledge-

Many people could say that they don’t have knowledge but they want to start it, they are passionate about it.

The good news is that you can gain knowledge. From knowledge comes confidence and conviction.

I think Lack of knowledge is not a problem, it’s just a way of thinking.

Don’t have the knowledge, Gain it.

There are books, courses, lectures, videos out there that may help you.

You can ask for someone to give you some knowledge if you think he/she is good at that thing. Call or message them and ask for support. One can say yes and your life could be changed.

Don’t be afraid of rejection here, Rejections are nothing.

5- Fear of Failure-

If you fail, people will laugh at you and nobody likes it. It is fear of failure. People will look at you and convey the message that you are not good enough. And if we accept it negatively then it could be depressing for us.

I think this is the point that Carl Jung says about. You need to understand yourself and of course others as well. You need to know that Failure is a part of the process. Failure is part of learning. And when you deeply know it, People’s laugh won't matter to you.

I think there is a connection between everything we do. This connection is with people and with this amazing universe.

In “Connection of things” I’ve talked about connection in brief. And that connection is pure. That connection is what makes us alive.

If you want people to believe you, you need to believe in yourself first.

If you want people to support you, you need to support yourself first.

If you want people to appreciate you, you need to appreciate yourself first.

If you want people to love you, you need to love yourself first.

I keep life this simple.

6- Money-

The problem of money depends on what you are planning to do. Some work needs a lot of money but some don’t.

If you lack money, you could stuck and that part is a bit difficult to deal with.

But the answer is, What are your alternatives?, What’s your option?

You need to do something to earn money and stop spending money where it is not needed.

You could have two goals here: Primary and Secondary. And you balance those out.

Your primary goal needs money then work for a secondary goal, earn money, save money, and then focus on your primary goal.

You could start from scratch.

Things take time.

You can start blogging, vlogging, you can teach, you can do your job and side hustle.

So... Just Start.

The Book that Changed Me Four Years Ago

People learn from people. Years ago, I found a person named Gary Vaynerchuk . He changed the course of my life professionally and what I was doing. I read his book that changed me four years ago and that book is Crush It ! In his book, he has talked about various things like passion, building a personal brand, content creation, authenticity, marketing and so on. I’d suggest that one must read this book if one is starting just out. This book is very simple in language and can potentially change you as well. Whatever I do, I’d say that the sharing of the content part is inspired by this person. There’s a judgment part of it involved in thinking about what to share and what not to share. What is it to keep for oneself and what is it to share with the world?   but after reading and listening to Gary Vee, things changed. We must share things because we don’t know what it is that could inspire others. We really don’t know. Sometimes a story and a post or a podcast, various things cou...

From Where the Strength Comes

In this chaotic life, we all need strength. For some it comes from people, money, happiness and for some, it comes from freedom and so on. What if it all goes away someday? To be honest with you, that may happen. The probability is still there, let’s be factual. For some, it is my philosophy but I’m just being factual. Let’s cut the bullshit for the time being. The question now is, is strength relative to all these things? Is strength relative at all? Because if it is relative then we are lost or we will be. And to explore all that we must first understand what it means by strength. And here I’m more concerned with mental strength rather than physical strength. Physical strength must be there to survive, to act, and to function properly. What is strength, my friend? This is not just a question for me but also you. Whatever I’m going to convey must be realized on a deeper level otherwise there’s no point reading this. On a mental level, is it not the ability to think understand ...

Nobody Can Help You!

That would be the most pessimistic sentence you’ll ever come across. But be with me. At least I won’t give you false hope. Because the truth is: Nobody can help you. You are living your life and most of us have lived their life but they haven’t figured out, and I can assume you are still figuring out most of the things in your life. Maybe you are seeking help but you are not finding that ultimate solution that can put you in a great spot.  Well, if you are seeking someone to repair your bike, you’ll find that out so easily, I’m not talking about these kinds of things. What I’m going to talk about is more of the psychological world that we live in fragmentary. And that psychological world is not different from the world you live in. That is connected with your thinking and your actions.  What I’m talking about here is something quite deep. It’s related to values, education and the relation of you to this world. Of you to other people that you don’t even care about. And if you d...

Direction over Destination

“Your first priority is to identify what you want and then make sure you take the path that’s going to give you that. There’s nothing sadder than to see someone get to be seventy-five or eighty years old and look back regrettably because they pursued the wrong target.” One of the paragraph in the book  Getting Everything You Can Out of All You’ve Got  by Abraham Lincoln Having a goal, having a purpose, having a destination, it’s all fine but what if you don’t know where to go, you are not that self-aware, you are very early in the process, you could be a college graduate or you’ve passed out but you don’t know where to go. It’s a problem for the majority of people because most of the people are not self-aware, they don’t know what they want from life. It’s very obvious why most of the people are not happy in their life. So, if you don’t know the destination or a goal, how will you then start? To answer you, You just start by finding something you like or you are passionate abo...

Behind the Scene of Writing

Working on a new project, I thought why not show the scene behind the writing? When we write things we get some ideas. Even we can make connections among things and then It becomes very easy to write things about anything.  I like to write it like it, one can make things in the doodle Notebook  in art form as well.   Post by @ajaysinghtalk View on Threads

Embracing Tranquility

In the pursuit of a peaceful and purposeful life, it's essential to align your actions with joy. Engage in activities that bring happiness, for it is the connection between what you do and the resulting peace that truly matters. In today's world, opportunities abound to find joy in various endeavours, and if you're talented, consider turning your passions into a source of income—after all, money-making is a skill worth honing.   Stress management is a vital aspect of maintaining a sense of peace. Choose activities that resonate with you, avoiding those that lead to dissatisfaction. Living a simple life and being unafraid of mistakes are powerful ways to stay grounded. Embrace the present moment; stress often arises from dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. While future planning is valuable, ensure it remains realistic, understanding the time required to achieve your goals.   Prioritize activities that bring you genuine joy. Adhering to the 80/20 rule ,...

A Letter!

I’m what I’m right now, right here. The state of the mind is the state of me. Whatever in this, that is me. To be at peace is not a desire but it’s our nature. It’s our life. To live without any conflict in the life. To think about it, is worth it than the things that anybody could desire. There can’t be a great, priceless, worth it desire than to understand life and live it every second. What I want is this. What I hope for others is this. To live joyously is life. To live peacefully is life. Nobody could be happy if that person is full of hate or even a spark of that. Full of jealousy or a spark of that. If people can’t like others how can there would be a relationship of any kind. I don’t see that is possible. Become a light to oneself and that light will awaken others. This, I see very clearly & only option here.

Creator versus Artist

A creator is someone who makes or produces something new and an Artist is the one who creates or produces art. In today’s era, everybody is concerned about how many followers one has acquired on social media platforms. This is most important for us to know the difference between Artist and Creator, I have already defined what a creator is and what an artist is.   There were artists back then who were not creators. But in today’s era, artists become very good creators. But so many of us have forgotten the difference between the two.   For Creators, the quantity of content defines them. For Artists, the quality of art defines them.   Ajay Singh Talk | Podcast | Spotify Ajay Singh Talk | Podcast | Apple Follow me on Instagram Follow me on Twitter

Boredom is Necessary | Self-Awareness

We often feel bored and I think it’s a good thing. If you are feeling bored then at least you know that you’ve got nothing at this time from which you are passionate about. It’s a time to be self-aware. It’s a time to know yourself better. It’s a time to find out the thing that you were enjoying earlier or to find new things that you could enjoy. I’ve list of things that I plan to do. I’ve list of things that I need to learn this or that. I’ve list of books that I know I need to buy and read. So I’ve never been out of work. And I enjoy doing my things. I am very passionate about my work. Like right now, I’m writing this blog post and I’m excited about it because I love writing. I love suggesting new things to others. I love sharing new things with others. What I do I share. How I do that I share that too.  We lack a spark for action. We don’t want to act. This is because you didn’t find out what is that thing that ignites you. It’s very simple but you need to get up and TRY as many...

My 10 Days Vipassana Meditation Experience

Early Thoughts Before registering for the Vipassana, I was going through many ups and downs in my life. I wanted a break. I wanted a time where I could live a different life. A life that is different from the so-called normal life. Heard about Vipassana many years ago but that didn't catch my attention. But I was planning to go there. I think everything has its time and for me, when my time came, I was there doing Sadhana ( Meditation ). My parents got no clue where I was planning to go but when the time came, I told them that I’m going to Lucknow for meditation for ten days and I can’t talk to you on phone. They didn’t understand what I was doing with my life. And I told these things when the time was very near. It’s like if I am going after two or three days then I am telling all this to them. I told them that it’s important for me and they understood that.  They trust me!!! That’s awesome. Reaching There When I reached there, they allotted me a room. I met two friends, at that ...
